Inch Cape chooses Montrose for O&M base

Great news to start off the week - Montrose Port has been selected by developers Red Rock Power and ESB as the future operations and maintenance (O&M) base for the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm.

Inch Cape Wind Farm has applied to the UK Government for a long-term energy contract in its latest ‘Contracts for Difference’ allocation round, with results expected this summer and if successful, will trigger the 18-month multi-million pound investment programme in Montrose Port with long term skilled O&M jobs to follow.

Great news for Scotland’s offshore wind sector as Crown Estates Scotland announce the list of developers who are being offered lease option agreements reserving the rights to specific areas of the seabed in the ScotWind round.
