ORE Catapult's technology accelerator Launch Academy is open for applications
ORE Catapult are accepting applications for their flagship technology accelerator programme, Launch Academy. Applications for Launch Academy 2024 went live on 6th November and will remain open until 8th December.
This is ORE Catapult’s fourth iteration of their award-winning 9-month technology accelerator programme, and is supported by three fantastic industry sponsors:
Successful companies can expect to receive nine months of technology development, business case analysis, commercialisation, and business growth support delivered by ORE Catapult and a cadre of specialist external delivery partners, in addition to an opportunity to develop links and relationships with the leading offshore wind developers sponsoring the programme.
Launch Academy 2024 is accepting applications from companies developing innovations targeting a variety of technology thematic challenge areas, developed directly by ORE Catapult in collaboration with industry sponsors. These include:
- Project Pipeline:
- Installation: Impact-reducing innovations relevant to the Installation stage of an offshore wind farm’s lifecycle
- Operation: Impact -reducing innovations relevant to the Operational stage of an offshore wind farm’s lifecycle
- Future Energy Systems:
- Electrification and Decarbonisation of Vessel Operations
- Shore Charging and Grid Maximisation
- Smart O&M:
- Condition Monitoring
- Surface Coating and Protection
- HSE
- Open Call
- An open call for applications from any company developing a technology, product or service relevant to the offshore wind sector

Eligibility: Any company actively seeking to commercialise a technology solution in the offshore wind sector is welcome to apply. This opportunity is available to UK-registered companies, or companies with an ambition to establish a presence in the United Kingdom.
Successful companies will be shortlisted following the close of applications on December 8th, with finalists invited to pitch in January/February 2024 and winners announced shortly thereafter.
