Case studies

The Champlain Hudson Power Express is a planned high-voltage direct current underwater and underground power cable project linking Quebec, Canada, to New York City, US. Following completion of a review by the New York State Public Service Commission, construction began in 2022. The line is permitted and expected to be operational in 2026.

Provided offshore supporting services to assist with the installation of the Subsea Power Cable of the CHPE project, including mobilization of a compliant vessel, surveys, pre-lay grapnel runs, and additional supporting services.

Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind is developing several offshore wind projects off the East Coast of the US. Two of these sites are near southern New Jersey, and the third is in New York. To support these projects, Atlantic Shores plans to build an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) facility in New Jersey. This facility will be crucial for asset monitoring, maintenance, repairs, and technician deployment, helping to improve operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and lower costs, ensuring the success of their offshore wind initiatives.

Conducted a comprehensive site assessment to identify and evaluate potential port locations in New Jersey for the development of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) facilities to support Atlantic Shores offshore wind projects. We assessed each candidate port based on technical, logistical, and regulatory criteria.
