Case studies
OFFSHORE WIND FARM STUDY Develop a concept design of a tower and foundation system to support the wind turbine generator (WTG). The Havsul project intends to provide 1 TWh minimum of power to the Sandøy community in the Møre & Romsdal region, in northern Norway. This will be facilitated by a 62km2 offshore wind farm. A conceptual study of a WTG tower and foundation system was required to establish ± 20% cost estimates for the engineering, procurement, construction and installation. Scope of Work: WTG tower concept design; ‘Gravity Base’ foundation design; Installation equipment design; Establish construction and offshore installation methodologies; Develop cost estimates for EPIC.
