Partrac deliver high-quality metocean and lidar surveys and consultancy for complex engineering & environmental projects in challenging marine environments. We are experts in the delivery of metocean and geodata to support offshore projects. In addition to metocean and seabed stability surveys, we provide metocean desktop studies to support operational and design criteria to the offshore wind, cabling and ports and harbour sector. This is supported by our established reputation for sediment analyses such as plume modelling.

Case studies
An offshore wind farm located off the east coast of Scotland in the North Sea. A joint venture between 2 major offshore wind developers, the project is currently in the development stages.
Contract type: Metocean, floating lidar and measurements and seabed & sediment assessment
Value: £1.5 mn
Partrac conducted a metocean measurement survey to capture wave measurements - 1 year . Deployed 3 Datawell wave buoys and guard buoys. 3 Seabed mounted ADCPs on site to capture currents, seabed and sediment mobility are contracted to be deployed for extension on site - 1 year. The data will be collected analysed and reported to facilitate cable laying activities.
An offshore wind farm under construction in Irish waters in the pre consent phase.
Contract type: Metocean, floating lidar and seabed assessment
Value: £1.25 mn
Floating lidar and data buoys have been deployed to capture wind resource, wind, wave and current data. The data will be used for site characterisation, operational and FEED purposes. It is anticipated that this will extend into seabed assessments at a later date.
