For over 30 years international contracting and engineering company Semco Maritime has supplied the global energy sector with technologically advanced solutions. The company established its first offshore business unit in Esbjerg, Denmark in 1980 with the purpose of providing project engineering, maintenance and manpower services for the North Sea’s offshore operations. Since then, Semco Maritime has grown organically with acquisitions in Denmark, Norway and the UK positioning the company as a high-tech, international organisation covering all disciplines within engineering and contracting for the energy sector.

Semco Maritime has been operating in Aberdeen since 2012, following the company’s acquisition of EICA specialist Capelrig Ltd.

With over 50 personnel, the Aberdeen facility offers particular expertise in the design, manufacture and installation of cost-effective, technology-driven mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, automation and telecommunications (MEICAT) solutions. Based on the north side of the city, its design and manufacturing operations are centred in two adjacent buildings, comprising office space, a panel building workshop and separate systems integration and staging facilities for complete automation systems.
