Case studies

We were contracted to inspect a number of wind turbines offshore of Denmark by drone. The inspection was of the turbine blades and we provided industry standard reports on the blade condition to the customer. We averaged 4-6 turbines per day with a focus on data quality rather than speed. Some of the work was done from the CTV and some from the TP.

We were contracted to inspect by drone a number of wind turbine blades to provide condition reports on the blades before end of warranty. The information we provided in our reports supported the customer with this project. Each drone team consists of a pilot and a camera operator. The camera operator is a trained wind turbine inspector.

We were contracted to inspect and build a 3D model of an offshore substation. We also provided a land survey and 3D model of the cable when it came onshore and across a distance of 34 km.

We were engaged by a repeat customer to inspect and build a 3D model of an offshore substation using a drone. We also provided a land survey and 3D model of the cable when it came onshore and across a distance of 34 km. The 3D model and inspection of the substation was done from a CTV within the course of a day. We then moved onshore and surveyed the cable in segments allowing us to build a highly accurate 3D model of it. The data was all delivered to the customer via a cloud-based software platform.
