Oceana Subsea looks at the end deliverable of a project and work back from this point in order to ensure that the correct ROV system, personnel, survey and tooling is provided for the project. Oceana Subsea is focused on providing solutions to our offshore renewable clients. The management have been involved in this sector providing ROV services since 2011.

Case studies
Our client faced a challenge to install retro clamps to help with anode wastage. The project was located in the German sector and took 3/4 months to complete.

Oceana Subsea provided a unique design to install the retro clamps to assist with anode wastage protection on a wind farm in Germany. This project involved not only providing the ROV but a bespoke tool to install the clamp on to the tripod foundation. The access was an issue, however, we overcame this issue with a clever installation tool. We completed dry testing of the installation tool but also completed wet testing and trails of the tool and the integration of the tool on the ROV system. The clamp system had an umbilical pulled through and then attached to an anode mattress.
Preventative cable repair project on the West coast of England.
Contract type: Supply of ROV and cutting equipment
Value: £350
The project involved finding the faulty cable and assisting with the deburial of the cable to expose for the cutting operations. Oceana Subsea provided a new solution for cutting the cable. This tool was specifically built to fit to the ROV to remove the requirement for significant additional equipment on the deck and to remove the cost of additional personnel to run these more deck fed traditional solutions. This project also included a dry test of the cutting equipment.
