Case studies
Project to upgrade the power supply capability from Beauly to Denny. The 220km replacement overhead line was developed jointly by Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission plc and SP Energy Networks. Portakabin Scotland Ltd provided a range of buildings across multiple sites including project offices and welfare facilities with additional services to ensure that the client and end users were able to operate in high quality facilities. The quality of our buildings and service was the reason that the client instructed their contractor to use our buildings instead of alternative who provided more basic construction site buildings.

Portakabin Scotland Ltd via the Dundee office supplied BBUSL across ten sites seventy nine buildings supplied with furniture, access equipment, alarms systems and other critical services to remote locations. The contract was fully managed and coordinated by our dedicated project management and service teams working with our client to ensure the end users received the support services that they required in order to be able to successfully deliver the national infrastructure project which they were operating upon. The individual sites would be delivered when required and were on hire for as long as determined by the project.
Supply of quayside project offices to enable client to provide support and refurbishment services to oil services company while docking a jack-up oil platform at the Port of Dundee. End user required welfare, changing, wc and office facilities for a nine month project. Due to location and lack of services available onsite, tanks, water supply, electricity supply and internet connection were all required alongside furniture, lockers, access systems and other ancillary services provided. Additional services were required as the port already had rigs docked and facilities needed to be expanded temporarily.

Portakabin Scotland Ltd via the Dundee office, assessed the requirement and subsequently designed, delivered and installed multiple single module buildings with various internal layouts provided in order to meet the requirements of the project. This was coupled with ongoing site services while the buildings were in position and was expanded for a 6 week period when requirements were ramped up for particular sections of the project.
