Case studies
2019 Contracted by SSE to carry out a Cathodic Protection Survey using our ROV and a CP probe to gather readings on a selected number of jacket installations in the Beatrice wind farm.
Contract type: short term
Value: £65000
The project was completed using our Outland ROV and our vessel Waterfall. Readings were taken from a number of different points on each of the jackets the were compiled into a report in a format specified by the client. The data was matched with still images and video footage. Additional issues found during the survey, such as tangled fishing gear, we report to the client. The job was completed to the clients satisfaction on time and on budget.
2019 - a 3 tonne clump weight was lost in the Beatrice offshore wind farm site. We were asked to locate and recover the item in conjunction. We provided a vessel and ROV. Another company provided a multicate with sufficient crane capacity to handle the weight.
Contract type: Emergency call out
Value: Approx £5000
We provided a ROV launched and handled from our own vessel. We located the clump on the seabed and, using the ROV, secured a line enabling the item to be recovered by the Multicat crane.
