Innovate UK KTN Innovation Exchange

Innovate UK’s Innovation Exchange is a cross sector program supporting innovation transfer by matching industry challenges to innovative companies. It does this through putting large businesses with technical needs in contact with companies who have the right innovative solutions, for faster development of novel solutions.

They often have challenges within the offshore wind sector and in most cases there will be support to develop, deliver, and demonstrate winning solutions, as well as to find investors or grant funding and explore additional support.

North Sea Transition Authority Energy Pathfinder

Energy Pathfinder provides real-time visibility of activity for new oil and gas field developments, decommissioning and projects to support the energy transition, for example, wind energy projects and carbon capture and storage on the UKCS.
Information published on the portal gives the supply chain the opportunity to share solutions to aid project delivery.

Project information includes:
• location
• type of development
• forward work plans for OpEx contracting opportunities
• timings of business opportunities
• contact details within companies
• details of upcoming tenders

The industry is supportive of Energy Pathfinder as the portal helps the supply chain target UKCS contract opportunities more effectively and gives service companies confidence to invest in skills and new technologies.

There is a guidance video to help you use the portal, and an option to sign up for email alerts when projects are updated.

This is where European Public Tenders are advertised. There is a search function to filter through available tenders, so you can search terms such as ‘offshore wind’ or anything specific to your services to bring back relevant results.
