Case studies
2022 ETZ funded training for energy transition
Contract type: Framework Agreement
Value: 330000
RelyOn Nutec developed two training solutions which covered the mandatory training needs of today’s energy workforce and a programme of ongoing support activities which led to real employment opportunities for the ETZ cohorts. We embarked on an extensive marketing campaign to promote the project in the local area which included social media content, press and radio advertising. Potential candidates were asked to apply via an online application which assessed their eligibility against specific criteria set by ETZ. Spaces filled quickly and training embarked on the 10th January 2022 with a total of 32 individuals trained weekly. Because of the unique blended delivery method of our courses, which are developed by our sector subject-matter experts and our in-house digital specialists, we were able to deliver these combination packages in less time and pass cost savings onto our client, ensuring that we could accept many more students than were estimated in the initial brief. Throughout H1 2022, RelyOn trained a total of 445 individuals, certifying 164 for the oil and gas sector and 281 for offshore wind, creating a multi-skilled and compliant workforce poised to fill future energy sector roles.
Funded training with ETC Group and Middlesbrough College. ETC Group is a group of colleges in the Teesside area and Middlesbrough College are a local college in the same area. Both has access to AEB funding from Tees Valley Combined Authority. RelyOn Nutec train 12 delegates from ETC Group every two months and 12 delegates from Middlesbrough college every month in Wind Turbine Technician courses. RelyOn are KPI'd to ensure these learners find work after completing the course. This works very well with both colleges, we also offer Greenskills Boot Camps to companies via the college for recruitment of new staff and upskilling of existing staff.
