Forsyths Ltd is the fabrication arm of the Forsyth Group based in the North East of Scotland. Established in 1890 the business has continually evolved to meet the changing demands of technology but still prides itself in its history for providing a high quality product and service. They have various fabrication workshops over four sites (Rothes, Aberdeen, Caithness & Buckie) The latter - quayside facility, is used for both fabrication and skid unit assembly and allows direct load-out to the Buckie harbour. This is a key consideration when it comes to ease of transportation of the larger fabricated items.
The two main areas of business are in the Oil and Gas and Alcoholic beverage industries.
In the oil and gas sector we offer full process design and manufacture a wide range of equipment in numerous different grades of material. Typical fabrications include structural steelwork, piping, pressure vessels (ASME U / U2 Stamp), umbilical/pipe reels and tanks. Together with our E&I and coatings group companies we can also provide a complete in house solution for preassembled skid units.
Work in the alcoholic beverage industry varies from the supply of distillation equipment only to turn-key distillery design and build, plant upgrade or expansion projects. They provide equipment and solutions to both domestic and international markets for beer, wine and spirit producers.

Case studies
Forsyths fabricated Pressure Vessels, Pipework & Skid Structure of Methanol and LDHI AA Gas Packages for JOCAP (Bos-Shelf). Design pressure was 584 Barg, Pressure tested to 876 Barg.

Forsyths Supplied all materials, completed fabrication, assembly and testing of the full package prior to shipping from our facility in Buckie, Moray to Baku for assembly onto offshore platform. Assembly included the installation of client supplied Free Issue items.
Forsyths Fabricated Pressure Vessels, Pipework & 3no. Modular Skid Units for the Shetland Gas Plant for Total. Each Module was 450Te. All of which were fabricated, tested and assembled at our Buckie Facility in the North East of Scotland Prior to shipping to Shetland.
Contract type: Fabrication, Testing and Assembly.

All materials were purchased by Forsyths for the manufacture of Pressure Vessels, Pipework were fabricated at our wokshops in Buckie, Moray and Rothes, Moray with the skid structure and full assembly/testing being completed at our Buckie site in Moray. Each package was loaded onto a barge from the Buckie site direct to Shetland. Assembly included the installation of client supplied Free Issue items.
