Atlas Copco Specialty Rental bolsters offshore team with strategic appointments

Forth & Tay Offshore cluster member and leading rental solutions provider, Atlas Copco Specialty Rental UK has bolstered its offshore team with the appointment of an offshore sales engineer and a project engineer. 
 
Jamie Ward has joined the company as offshore sales engineer. In his role, Jamie - who brings with him more than a decade of field sales experience - will be responsible for supporting offshore customers with enquiries, quotes, and the design of rental solutions in line with their requirements.

The company has also promoted Derek Brander to project engineer from offshore service engineer. Derek, who has been with the organisation since 2013, will assist the offshore sales team from a technical perspective on complex projects from the tender and bid process through to the delivery of projects. 

Atlas Copco Specialty Rental UK specialises in the provision of state-of-the-art temporary compressed air, nitrogen, power modules, specialist subsea cleaning and flow equipment for short or long-term demands, planned contingencies or unexpected emergencies.
 
Its equipment is designed, manufactured, and tested to comply with ISO-1217 regulations; is built with API specifications in mind, and all units are fitted within DNV 2.7-1 lifting frames for offshore deployment, as well as rig safe compliance. In addition, its advanced control and monitoring systems ensure optimum performance and internet, satellite or mobile networks make field follow-up easier. 

The appointments come at a time of growth for Atlas Copco Specialty Rental which has recently made a multi-million-pound investment to drive future growth. To meet ever-increasing demand for its rental equipment, the company has strategically invested in an extensive range of new assets. This includes power generators, electric and diesel-driven air compressors, nitrogen generators, and associated accessories. 

The investment will also see the company further upgrade its South Shields depot and the Dundee depot, where Jamie and Derek will be based, in line with its sustainability goals.
